Publicis Health Media became PHM at a moment when healthcare itself was changing.

Healthcare journeys no longer begin in waiting rooms. They begin with searches, scrolling, symptom checkers and uncertainty. In a world shaped by AI, algorithms and infinite signals, the brands that are discovered are the ones that lead. And when brands lead, advantage follows.

PHM needed an identity that reflected the depth of its healthcare expertise while creating a more confident and contemporary agency brand. Something with presence, energy and swagger. A brand designed to move beyond the conventions of healthcare marketing.

At the centre of the new identity is the Free Diver. A human symbol of curiosity, depth and discovery. Moving beneath the surface in search of answers, the diver reflects the way PHM navigates complexity to uncover clearer paths forward for brands, healthcare professionals and patients alike.

From there, the identity evolved into a living system built around movement and discoverability. The flowing dot pattern, known as the Plume Pattern, visualises the signals, searches and touchpoints shaping healthcare decisions every day. Together, the diver and plume create a brand that feels fluid, intelligent and unmistakably human.

Typography, motion and image-making were all designed to reinforce that same sense of confidence and momentum. Less static healthcare communications system. More modern agency brand.
